Equipment

  • Steaming pitcher
  • Espresso machine with steam wand
  • Stir spoon
  • Serving cup

Ingredients

  • 15 grams of finely ground coffee
  • 8 ounces of milk
  • 1-2 ounces of microfoam
  • chocolate syrup or cocoa powder
  • whipped cream

Instructions

  • Add one to four pumps/tablespoons of chocolate syrup or cocoa powder into the cup.
  • Pour a small amount of hot water to dissolve the syrup or powder.
  • Place the coffee grounds into the portafilter and tamp accordingly.
  • Lock the portafilter into the espresso machine and pull the shots directly into the cup.
  • While the espresso is brewing, heat the milk using the steam wand.
  • Once done brewing, stir the chocolate and espresso until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the steamed milk into the cup.
  • Finish the beverage with whipped cream and a dash of cocoa powder.
  • Serve your mocha coffee, and enjoy!
